Thick sheets of ice now cover a Chicago warehouse building, which burst into flames Tuesday night and reignited early Thursday.

      Nevermind that this year in Chicago (where it does get cold in the winter hello?) we set a record for latest date of measurable snowfall, and latest date to get a snowfall exceeding one inch. But hey no climate change, right? Right.

      While most of the US and southern Canada were complaining today about how cold it was, where I live in the Northwest Territories it warmed up to -17c. So it went from -32c (with a windchill of -40c) to -17c in one day. We also had another dump of snow too. The snow in my front yard is almost up to my waist. I never thought I would hate snow so much. But I think I can count on my one hand how many times I DIDN"T have to clean the snow off my vehicle since our first major storm on October 27th.

      But you know the deniers, they are going to claim that this cold snap means there isn't any global climate change. However, this weekend the northern Atlantic Ocean is expecting a super storm stronger than Hurricane Sandy. We are just lucky that it going to be out to sea rather than hit land or it would probably wipe the east coast off the map.

      The Atlantic storm you mentioned is coming at the same time as a VERY Full Moon so I have heard. I am not a student of Moon phases myself but it sounds like a BIG QUAKE may be in the cards. Hmm. Come to think of it DANG, DOUBLE DANG...

      I just recalled something the man tacked on the end too => he said a massive upheaval is coming in the ocean floor. He said they don't have any idea why, just that they KNOW IT IS COMING.

      And now you've added a big storm??????? This weekend looks like The Weekend from Hell shaping up. Five weeks post-December 21 2012. Were the Mayans off 5 weeks???

      Seriously, this looks REALLY BAD.
