Sarah Palin will no longer be a paid contributor to Fox News. The former Alaska governor and the network have parted ways, a source close to Palin told ABC News. The same source said it was her decision to leave the network and that Fox offered her an opportunity to renew her contract.
In a statement from Fox News, Executive Vice President for Programming Bill Shine did not comment on whose decision it was to end the relationship, instead saying, "We have thoroughly enjoyed our association with Gov. Palin. We wish her the best in her future endeavors."

There you go again. OK, this time a bit of a reprise: I lived there for 13 years. Two in the SE, where my work took me all over the state out of a resource center in Juneau. I want to Hoonah, Nulato, Huslia, Adak (ring a bell, pal?), Fort Yukon, Metalkatla, and on and on. Then, to 3 years on the entire North Slope, out of Barrow, covered Pt Hope to Kaktovik. Then, to Anchorage.
Your bragging is tiresome. I will not write about my education or anything remotely to do with the military. I just wrote this for obvious reasons. Stop the bragging. Ain't seemly. When someone starts bragging to a stranger, he does not know anything about the other person.....

No, that's not an accurate analogy. By definition, calling her son a "retarded baby" is by defintion technically correct. Down syndrome is a type of mental retardation.
In any case, it's *not* that big a deal because it wasn't intended to be insulting.

Beyond anything Down syndrome is a genetic condition in which a person has 47 chromosomes instead of the usual 46. Resulting in lower IQ. I don't usually follow Sarah Palin stories. Is there an actual video of where/when Sarah Palin said this (I couldn't find one) or was it just hear-say?
Here's a link about causes of mental retardation:
http://www.prevention-news.com/general/causes.htm*Edited* to add quote from link above: "Mental retardation can be caused by any condition which impairs development of the brain before birth, during birth or in the childhood years. Several hundred causes have been discovered, but in about one-third of the people affected, the cause remains unknown. The three major known causes of mental retardation are Down syndrome, fetal alcohol syndrome and fragile X."

Any parents who decide to have a child when they KNOW the child is retarded and abortion is readily available have made a decision to care for that child for the rest of their lives. Unlike children with many handicaps, there is no hope that such a child can ever become fully independent, marry and do what parents hope and dream for.
To profane that sacrifice is vile. I have worked around these people and their parents for decades, pal. You and your comrade obviously have no f...ing idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have worked around the parents of what people now define as "intellectual deficient," or "intellectually handicapped," etc, depending on the state classifications.
Few things do get me angry, but to see anyone belittle a parent of such a child, a parent who has decided to care for this child for the rest of her life, is vile and hateful. I have seen the suffering, and I have had the responsibility of "delivering the message" MANY times.
Ask anyone who works in clinics or schools: That diagnosis is one of the hardest to tell a parent. The first time I did stands out in my mind clearly. It is so hard to tell that many diagnosticians at schools will fudge and actually use other terms! Like severe language difficulties, developmental delays, processing weaknesses, etc.
Any professional who looks at such a child and the data know the truth. I remember a 6th grade child. Obvious problems, but everyone "passed the buck" with the diagnosis. I could not do that. The father came in, he was from Elmendorf Air Force in Anchorage. He was in his uniform, a Sgt. I told him straight out with respect but clear. The guy just started crying. In his heart, he knew. Then, he just stiffened up, threw back his shoulders, and said, "Yes sir. Thank you sir. What shall we do now, sir?"
When I remember that, and many, many more such interactions with saddened and brave parents who sacrifice and love their child, it really sickens me to read what I just read. Sorry for ranting.

Hey, will any LEFT-WINGER answer a question for a change?
A MOVIE was made about Governor Sarah Palin. Hey, a MOVIE.
She was on a losing ticked, over 4 years ago, as a VICE-PRESIDENT. How many people can even REMEMBER who was running on a losing ticket as a vice-president? Who was Gore's VP? Kerry's? Left-wingers on these threads are so involved that the can probably answer, but how many Americans can?
But try to find someone who DOESN'T KNOW who Palin is.
The question: Why all this attention, interest, anger and fuss by Lefties?

Sadly, people follow train wrecks more closely than more substantive people. As long as that's true, Sarah will be widely known! That's your answer.*
(Oh, and it was Edwards and Lieberman.)
*As a foot note, I don't really sense any anger towards Palin these days. Rather, I'd say she provides a bit of comic relief to break up the sometimes depressing tone of serious news.
And a question in return:
"A MOVIE was made about Governor Sarah Palin. Hey, a MOVIE."Is a "Movie" about a 1/2 Governor really a movie, if you've shown it in theaters and nobody came?

"The question: Why all this attention, interest, anger and fuss by Lefties?"
Let me break it down for you:
First, as regards the "attention and interest" - I answered, "Sadly, people follow train wrecks more closely than more substantive people. As long as that's true, Sarah will be widely known!"Second, as regards the "anger and fuss" - I admit, I did not answer this as directly as I might have. I thought my answer as regards to the "attention and interest" might have covered it. But in the interest of clarity, I have edited my comment to include clarification on that point. My answer: "I don't really sense any anger towards Palin these days. Rather, I'd say she provides a bit of comic relief to break up the sometimes depressing tone of serious news."

But the second one is partially correct. However, I look at Obummer's victory as really a symptom of underlying problems in the greatest country in the world, and how the LEFT-WINGERS, through fraud, and control of the education and media have brainwashed unsuspecting people into accepting the mistaken superficial claims, the Leftist myths. The Progressives of the past, followed by the Old Left and the New Left were able to convince many people that Lenin was a hero, followed by Mussolini (yes, Nation magazing and the New Republic extolled him), Stalin, Mao, Castro and Pol Pot were saviour of mankind, held back by the reactionaries. You come from quite a tradition. Your progenitors did quite a job.
