Yet we still give these Maserati driving corporate welfare kings tons of tax breaks on "exploration" as they @ss rape the working class.

Trips to the gasoline pump in 2012 and 2008 took their biggest share of U.S. household income in several decades, according to the federal Energy Information Administration (EIA).

The Energy Department’s statistical arm reported Monday that the average household spent $2,912 for gasoline in 2012, which makes up almost 4 percent of pre-tax income, tying 2008 for the highest percentage in roughly 30 years.

Pump prices took center stage in White House races in 2008 and 2012, but gasoline expenditures as a share of household income remain lower they did than the early 1980s, when they were above 5 percent.

    • It's just a "Rob Peter-Feed Paul" thing.
More money spent on gas takes away the food money, etc.
Someone will get poor with no sales because the money is spent
      on gas for the car.

In the end it hurts your town in lack of sales.
As everyone stays home on the weekend!

You know really the issue is not the gas prices.
It's the wages, why is their pay so low that they have to blow most of
their money on gas for the car, then be broke!

When you are broke act broke! Go to those rich places dressed poor!
Get out be seen. Bring down your town to your level!

I got pissed off once that some rich people where driving, poverty sight seeing.
In my friends neighborhood. So I acted like I was drunk in my car I swerved
the car & at the stop light I looked at them with one eye shut & waved at them.
My friend was just laughing the whole time in the car with me.
Then we got out of there!

Why did I do that? It was not really a show of poverty.
But to give the rich something to gossip about!
Generally it's about the same point!
Just to let them know the town is all #$%&*@ up!
You all get the point! Have some fun sometime!

    • I thought Obama was finally going to do something about these commodity pirates who sell back and forth to each other without refining one drop of oil. If you want to invest, buy gold. If you don’t own a refinery, why are you buying oil? Can’t we put a stop to all this greed once and for all, or will the public be forced to fill their wallets with our hard earned cash forever?

Oh, but didn't you know it isn't the fault of the good hearted oil companies or the politicians? It's yours. (sarcasm.) It makes me angry too. The Greedy Lying Bastards. We need to as much as possible drive less and hit them in their wallets. zapzapzap.
