There is an enormous difference between Romney and Obama.
There is an enormous difference between Republicans and Democrats.
We are fooling ourselves if we believe otherwise. - 3 months ago

Unfortunately we are in a rut so to speak. Working from within may be our only peaceful way out, as Mr. V knows I am a Democratic Socialist working within the Democratic Party. May I suggest the younger folks need to get politically active at some level, and this organization is a good place to start.....

Divide and conquer is the simplistic explanation for the two party, left right system. The devil is in the details. Brtish and Israeli puppet masters, the heirs to WWII secret intelligence services and the evolved corporate military industrial complex that was never deconstructed in peace time are the elders who practice the social and political engineering of consent vis a vis the media propaganda called news and entertainment. We are their mercenary army. Since 1947, the post war super power intelligence apparatus in concert with the royal financial dynasties of europe , and energy cartels such as Royal BP, Royal Dutch Shell,Exxon-mobil, the Rockefellers, Rothschilds, USB, Barclays Bank, BOA, Goldman -Sachs, the war profiteering military contractors and defense industries have formed a ' Super Pac' of too big to fail' monopolies that are above the law, write the laws because they control congress, and have adopted the Protocols as the blueprint for a new world empire.

I agree the election process is screwed. Is it the people who choose or the electoral college? Al Gore had the popular vote but the supreme court ruled George Bush the winner because of Electoral votes. I don't like that. It makes me think. Does my vote really count if it's up to the electoral college anyway? Not that I voted for either one of them. But if I was on the losing side of that I would not feel like, hey I made a differance.
You have to have so much money to run these days. Third parties are never allowed in the debates. They say it will mess up the process. That is the process to get your ideas out there to the people thru debating. As long a third or fourth party is not allowed in the televised debates we'll never see it end. - 3 months ago

I'm sure your going to tell me anyway. But if they complain and say Oh it'll take all day to do the debate instead of 2 hours. We should ask them Do you want the job or not because we can find somebody else. A week long of all day debates is not to much to ask for someone who is going to get in there for four years and take 2 years worth of vacations on the taxpayers dime. All I kept hearing at the last debate was I believe I had 1 more minute. Trying to cram it into a 2 hour televised debate is not enough time. Let these people talk that's what they love doing.

What are you talking about? Fighting a plutocracy is left vs. right. The left are against a plutocracy and the right is its champion. How can you fight a plutocracy and not fight the conservative ideology that wants it.

Very good point. What is trying to be shone here, is that many (if not all of those in Washington) who claim to be with the left (Democrats) are really with the right, that is to say that with VERY few exceptions, almost ALL (including Obama) now work for their corporate masters, the only REAL constituency for our "representatives" are the rich and THEIR interest, NOT the peoples, but most people still keep thinking along the 2 party lines, when the fact is, BOTH party's work for the same people. it's called a cabal, and that's what we have today.

I was going to make the point that the Democrats are right of center, and the Republicans are far, far right of center, but that still means left vs. right.
I think the only reason progressives put any faith in the Obama administration is because they don’t have any choice. The Democratic Party still has some members that (given half a chance) would do the right thing. The Republican Party and the Tea Party members in particular, do not believe the right thing to do even is the right thing to do, let alone do it.
They wear their greed with pride and praise Ayn Rand for justifying it.
They claim if the very rich get to keep all or most of their money, somehow the rest of society will magically be employed. Magic that after 10 years has not materialized. They call them the “Job Creators.”
They believe if the very rich have all the money, somehow the rest of society will magically get some too. Magic that after 40 years has not materialized. They call it “Trickle Down.”
The law of supply and demand works for labor too so they use their congressional power to keep unemployment high and the wages low.
They believe women are subservient to the point that their bodies are to be used as others decide and their health care and life choices should be made for them by the government. The same government they tell to stay out of their lives.
They have no problem putting the country on the edge of disaster, or destroying it to protect the interest of the very few to the detriment of the many.
I think I will correct myself. The conservative ideology and the Republicans are not the champions of plutocracy, they are the plutocracy

I think it is also important to note just how much in common the right and Islam are, although both right and left have been trained (being very PC) to call such ideology "radical" when in fact, these are just the base ideals of both the American right and Islam, it may seem like strange bedfellows, but they are ideological bedfellows none the less. Do you agree?
