Given the fact that millions of Americans would like to "send a message" to George W. Bush and Dick Cheney (and not by email) it remains beyond comprehension how they continue to appear protected from US and from international courts.
I know we studiously avoided signing one treaty for war crimes when Bush was in office but there are still other statues that apply. (Even a RICO statute for God's sake!)
Please someone tell me there is an office in the DOJ or outside in some ACLU storefront or one in the Hague devoted to finally making these smirking criminals face justice.
I'm not given to praying but I pray this could be the last act of the Obama Administration who blocked Spain's effort to prosecute them when Obama took office.
The US will never be seen as anything less than twisted hypocrites in world affairs until it fully and honestly addresses this.
Let's hire a bounty firm and pay for the extraction of Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney to a courtroom in Iraq and let them answer to the people there. - 1 month ago

As one who has seen far too much of the effects of our insane need to fight battles that aren't ours I find it unconscionable that we are continuing, and even escalating, our psycopathic need to show the entire world how strong we are. Real strength is found in CARING, but with criminals like Bush and Cheney we fell for the propaganda that we had to fight in Iraq to make the world safe again. If we truly cared for our soldiers we would demand that the wars stop -- the thought of anymore of our brothers and sisters and sons and daughters will go through what Mr. Young has is too much for me to bear.

Bush, Cheney, Wolfowitz, Pearle, Rice, Rumsfeld, PNAC, and every other official in that unelected cabal who pushed this war are war criminals, INCLUDING Tony Blair. Also, every Republican and Democrat who sat silently voting for the Iraq War Resolution and then funding this invasion and excusing these crimes by saying impeachment was "off the table" has blood on their hands. And we are doing it again with drones killing innocent people and warmongering regarding Iran as violence still goes on in Iraq and Afghanistan.Too many lives lost for the psychopathic military industrial complex that we were warned about. I wonder when we will really stand up as a people and demand justice for those who now must live this horror every day. Just when will it be enough?

TOO Big to prosecute appears to be the new American mantra.
These criminals (we all know who they are...) should be frog marched to the Hague in orange jump suites and leg irons to stand trial for high treason and crimes against humanity. To do otherwise, is both criminal and hypocritical.

Everyone now knows the depth at which they went to lie our country into war. The many veterans who still suffer from Gulf War Syndrome, PSTD, IED's, and combat related injuries have been and still suffer. The VA has slowed the claims process to a slow walk even though members in Congress have urged a faster decision process. We have thousands of vets that are homeless as a result or suffering in silence. Now the conservative hawks in the GOP are trying to sell the War in Iraq as a success. They are trying to undo history because it holds them in a bad light. They are guilty of a myriad of crimes with torture being at the top of the list. There is never any justification for torture and to date it has never given the U.S. any actionable or valuable intelligence. All reports back this up but who needs facts when your defending a lie? On the tenth anniversary, they besmerk the reputation of our armed forced by doing so. Even Jeb Bush has joined the liars club and professed historians will look at his brother kindly. This spin is somehow supposed to be his and the GOP's attempt to rewrite history. Sadly they care little for the suffering of veterans just their place in history. How shallow and deceitful.

Update: I remember you now.
My beloved brother I have never met you. I have never seen your face. I will miss you when you’re gone, with a pain like 10000 cuts. You should be with a wife, and raising strong children who love this land as much as you. You deserve everything that has been stolen from you, and more. I can only add my most unworthy praise to one who stood between the dark and the light, and pray when you pass that mercy and kindness are showered upon your beautiful soul. And to all the brothers and sisters all over, I hope you find peace and honor you have given so much for. I stood my watch, I understand the price, and I know the camaraderie. You will always live in our hearts. Go in peace and with our love, goodbye.

This is a sad but honest letter. It is just about one of the saddest letters that I have ever read. It saddens me to think that Tomas Young is on his death bed and it is because of the evil deeds of Bush and Cheney.
I hope the letter find it's way to their hands, although I seriously doubt that it will. They need to be reminded of the enormous amount of suffering that they inflicted on the world.
Hopefully in time, they will be held responsible for their obvious, horrific crimes.

I base it on the fact that she was replying in a sarcastic way to Vortices who wrote, "After all, Obama has no real critics, even Cornell West, he too is just "racist", and can't stand chocolate people...." I can't say that Vortices is being racist as I have not interacted with the individual before, to me it was a sloppy comment made by V to begin with.
There are too many evil mother fuckers on this site reading into others comments ( and by no means I claim you are one ) just waiting for the slightest error to label others as racists, intolerant or homophobic just to satisfy their immaturity. That's why I spoke. Fine you feel strongly about the term but you got another thing coming if you think I'm not going to point out your error.
But if referring to others as chocolate in a playful manner ( as SF did in order to tell V his/her comment was odd) is wrong please go the guy in the video you object to him using the same term----I'm sure if you're lucky enough to get a response you will get a much needed education.
