The creators of CSI have realized that appointment TV is not where its at anymore. And so, in an attempt to get hip with the kids, theyre tracking a criminal onto the web, and into Second Life.
Second Life is set up so that people cant actually die there are dangerous areas, but you have to give your permission to enter, and then you get kicked out if your health deteriorates too far so the company has made a special section for the CSI actors and fans to kick around and try to solve the crime.
The first jump from tv to computer will happen on 10/24, but (SPOILER ALERT) wont be resolved, on tv at least, til 2/4. What do you bet someone online figures it out way before then?

Yeah -- quite a bit better than the standard "We built a floating island! Come... visit us" fare.

I agree with you, sloan, I'm so tired with SecondLife promos... but this idea is cool...

This is really cool. I'm skeptical of a lot of these Second Life promo stunts... but this is really cool.
