This is a follow-up video to my Tokyo Yamanote Halloween Train Montage some weeks back. This is a longer more indepth pod on the event with commentary from myself and participants including a past participant who rode the Halloween Train in 1990.
The Tokyo Yamanote Halloween Train is an unofficial on-and-off again event that goes back over twenty years or more. People board a designated train at a certain in costume and basically party on it as it loops around Tokyo. Originally it was mainly gaijin (foriegners) who participated but as my pod shows, nearly half of the participants in the last two years have been Japanese. The Yamanote Halloween Train has become a multi-national/multi-cultural event.
However some doubt the event exists or that it's only a rare occassion. Last year there was a heated debate on Wikipedia when someone wrote an article on the event and used my story on OhMyNews (an online Korean citizen journalist newspaper - where Al Gore partly got his idea for Current TV from what I understand) as proof of its existence. The article got deleted eventually but I left a message to the doubters at the end of the pod.
A similar event is also held in Osaka which has a loop line too. It's debatable which event started first.
Anyway, it's great fun and if you're ever in Tokyo around Halloween, you should try and catch it!

Yeah, I get that. I've been on this site for a year now but this system is different from the older one. Seems more complicated and less informative.

How do I have a 50% Don't Like with only 27 views and one person's comments which was supportive? Doesn't make sense. How does this voting thing work?
