I went to austin, texas this weekend to do an assignment for Current TV and got the ultimate gift, meeting my idol Dr. Tom Osborne, hall of famer and former head coach of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers and now the schools athletic director. I was speechless and was brought to tears...man tears...k....maybe little boy tears...still tears. I am a grown man and felt like a 7 year old boy that got the opportunity to meet the real Santa. not saying that Coach Osborne is anything like Santa...he didnt pass out presents or anything like that.
(here is how it happened)
i was shooting with the University of Nebraska Cheer Squad at the University of Texas rec center and he walked right by me!! i almost peed myself! i asked my photographer, Joey Buda to see if we can interview the walking ledgend and to my amazement he said yes! to Nebraskans, he IS the MOST famous man from the "good life" state. he is the most humbled man i have ever met and after walking away from him, i got teary eyed...not like when someone meets a member of NSYNC, but damn near close!

You lucky bastard! I can back you up on the idol part. Dr. Tom is Nebraska Football, I would have probably gone a step further than tearing up by pissing myself.
You should've asked him when he is going to sing his rendition of the NSYNC song "BYE, BYE, BYE" to Bill Callahan?
