As a laid-off casualty of the writers' strike and frequent headline-reader, I'm sad to say that I don't think that this strike is going to end for months. Looking at how much the studios make and how little they're offering the writers. It's pocket change, not even!
There'd be no trouble in giving the writers what they demand, but unfortunately for the studios it's an issue of pride now. If they give in, they'd be showing that they were wrong all along. - 4 years ago

There are thousands of crew members out there who are making middle class and not extravagant wages. They cannot work now, there is no work now. The strike has shut down the industry now. These people have families they support and these are the folks who aren't making thousands a day on the shows they work on to sock a way for rainy days. I am mostly seeing
in the news about how the strike is going to effect the
quality of tv shows for viewers. Poor viewers. How about how it effects the quality of life for all the families out there who have just lost the wages of their primary bread winner? - 4 years ago

what is needed in this writers strike is a good negotiator the writers should get a above average actor and write a flexable script then set the actor loose to settle the strike evreyone will get there piece of pie its just a matter of when let it be sooner then later sUPERED

I like some of it... but some of it is really offensive/detrimental to American culture.

HEY HEY HEY! NOT all Reality TV is bad...I've worked on a number of shows that are good shows, fun to watch, have a point and vision, and give normal people and outlet to do what they love and entertain YOU at the same time.
