There is a larger lesson here than choice of words. (Lynching look up what that could potentially entail)
The underlying lesson we can only hope one takes from reading this is that the disease of racism is not benign. While I realize that Tiger is of mixed decent and it is not his obligation - the agendas of the many ethnicites' he represents - he DOES have a greater responsibility to humanity for all he has been afforded.

That is a refreshing take on the subject. Usually, if you hear anyone sound off, they are biased by one perspective/color/ethnicity's agenda. Thank you for the feedback...and for trying to foster a conversation about the real solution to this evil.

everyone in america is racist. one can't be born and raised in this country and not be racist. racism, to me, is an ism just like capitalism, catholicism, modernism, so on and so forth. if one views people in terms of race, one is a racist. it doesn't necessarily make one a bad person, just ignorant, and ignorance is bliss. being a mixed person myself i see the ignorance in categorizing people in terms of race. i'm black by convenience only. what the golf lady said was ignorant and distasteful, but that's that social class for you. maybe Tiger gave her a good chewing out in private. when things like this happen we have to examine our society and ourselves. do we perpetuate racism by joining in on the game and taking sides, or do we see the ignorance in it all and define ourselves and not let some arcane classification system based on eugenics control us? the whole thing is a big mess.
