This event will outline the industrial, medical and recreational benefits of marijuana, happening in Austin, TX on Sat May 3, 2008. There will be a stage set up on the south steps of the State Capitol Building. Come show your support for appropriate cannabis legislation!
"While the Global Marijuana March is just that, our Texas Cannabis Crusade intends to promote awareness of the potential solutions this plant can offer to the great state of Texas. Texas undoubtedly houses a larger population of cannabis using Americans than any other state, yet our laws here on cannabis remain among the most rigid in the nation. We aim to hit all points in the upcoming non-legislative year from industrial hemp to medical marijuana to full on legalization so as to educate the public regarding the benefits that this God-given herb provides, or could provide."

i dunno, i think we here in california have the largest population of pot enthusiasts, but i'm still down for the cause. the benefits out weigh the "disadvantages" (whatever those are) so it just makes rational sense to take off all legislation and start incorporating it into our economy.
