Ruins: of the Past and Present

This is an investigation of the current state of American cinema houses. Three college students explore the crumbled theaters of San Francisco to find what it means to live in digitized world. The interviews inside Ruins, suggests that the experience of movie-going for future generations will be significantly different.

    • Interesting POD but way too long for TV. It's sad that we've let the "big screen" experience fall to where it is today. But with the surge of independent films we could make use of yesterdays movie theatres and give our
      Indy filmmakers a venue and a chance to see their labors on the "big screen"

    • the "experience" in the movie theatre from the nickelodions to the huge movie palaces has been the same. You're with strangers feeling the same emotion as the person next you and for that moment you have known them forever. No quick dvd releases or free online movies will take that kind of experience away
