SIFF presents 'Battle in Seattle' May 22 as Opening Night Film

The Seattle International Film Festival will screen Battle in Seattle for its Northwest premiere on May 22. Directed by Stuart Townsend, an Irish-born actor who makes his directorial debut with this film, Battle in Seattle presents a rain-soaked mosaic of characters whose lives intersect at the World Trade Organization summit and ensuing protests and riots in Seattle in late 1999. Filmmaker Townsend and cast members Charlize Theron and Martin Henderson are expected to attend. Check out the film's official site and SIFF's site for further info and details.
