i've been in dubai for 6 weeks now on a biz trip.

i like this vid cuz i can show my friends at home hey look the emiratiis r just as cool and trendy as u r.

its a cool place. a lot like nyc.

this first girl is beautiful and stylish :)))) like her jewelery!

I gave it a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.

The first woman's description of Dubai style was good because she lets me know its different there because people are wearing Arab clothes even if they aren't.

People wear suits to work; Professionalism
but then some wear dress shirt and dress pants for work.

Why is it different? What job do they have?

You debated wearing skinny jeans. Well why was that?

I would like to see MORE styles and less of people giving descriptions about their OWN style (Don't get me wrong, it can still be included). It seems that when one asks a person about why they wear what they wear, the response is "oh it makes me feel comfortable" "Its my style" That may be a reason they stick to in their minds, but as studies have shown we reflect one image we want to be perceived as and one image we unknowingly are actually perceived as. (Pronin, Emily. “How We See Ourselves and How We See Others.”)

Therefore, I think other people would be able to give more perspective to why other people wear the things they wear. Even if those guesses aren't absolutely correct, it gives more insight into people's opinions and thoughts that are being interviewed, additional reasoning for why people wear what they wear, and offers more substance in the video overall.

For example, One of my favorite roommates was a girl that has piercings on her ears(9 total from both), eye brow, breasts, belly, clitoris, has tattoo's, overweight by American standards, uniformly wears t shirt and jeans, black eyeliner, and out the shower flat hair in a pony tail.

I would say I think she wears the things she wears because she may want people to look at those things (piercings & tattoos) instead of seeing her actual body because maybe she feels insecure about her weight, She has one tattoo because she loves her aunts drawings. She wears clothes that make references to Irish culture and I know she likes to drink a lot in the name of Irish heritage. Has a really nice personality and is a very kind person. I think she may also get influence not so much from the music she listens to or tv that she watches, but from the people that she hangs out with.

Now if she were to answer the question I'm pretty sure she would answer, "because i feel like it." or "It's the closest thing to me when i wake up".
