According to archeologists in Italy they have found the tomb of 'Marcus Nonius Macrinus' who was an ancient Roman hero. He is considered to be the inspiration behind the story of the fictional character 'General Maximus Decimus Meridius' portrayed by Russel Crowe in the five Academy Award winning movie "The Gladiator."
