Leonardo DiCaprio is proud of his heritage "Germany will always be my second home!"

Helene Indenbirken was one of the few people who Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio could be his normal self around.
But the actor’s beloved German grandmother died three months ago in the quiet town of Oer-Erkenschwick at the age of 93.
He paid his final respects to his grandmother on November 2 in a small, peaceful funeral - and then he had to be the Hollywood star again to promote his new film 'Body of Lies' around Europe. BILD.com caught up with the star of 'Titanic' and 'Catch Me If You Can' in Rome.
BILD.com: After the death of your grandmother, will you still come to Germany often?
Leonardo DiCaprio: We still come to Germany often. My mother is a German immigrant. Even early on when we didn’t have much money, my mother always made sure to show me where she grew up and where my German roots lie. I spent every summer there, and Germany is still my second home.
DiCaprio still largely works in Hollywood though – where his new film ‘Body of Lies’ was produced.
BILD.com: In your new film you play an undercover agent in the Middle East. How did you prepare for the role?
DiCaprio: I met real CIA agents and discovered that they try to build up a proper life in the Middle East while they are working there - they have to be able to blend into the surroundings like chameleons. They have to be able to speak the language, behave the right way…
BILD.com: Even stars change the way they dress sometimes, so as not to be recognised. Do you ever do that?
DiCaprio: I have never dyed my hair or worn a wig… I have my faithful baseball cap. People still nearly always recognise me though.
‘Body of Lies’ hits cinemas soon, including in Germany on November 20.

Applaud him for being true to his roots which most European Americans have lost.
Body of Lies is a most see for anyone who wants to know the truth about terrorism and is told in a very unbias way.
