absolutely stellar! i can't wait to see this film. Johnny depp is an amazing actor and Tim Burton is a diety of film. Bravo

This looks great. I'm very excited. And I collect stuff from Burton movies and I just know I'm going to get my hands on some super cool Alice stuff. Johnny Deep as the Mad Hatter. Maybe Danny Elfman music. Fantastic!

oh great - he'll make a morose mess out of this classic too, doing his best to convince the press that "Lewis Carroll had it all wrong" and how it was truly supposed to be done THIS way.

I feel for Gene Wilder - he was also the Mock Turtle in 1999's TV adapation of Alice in Wonderland. This is what Wilder had to say about Burton's attempt at Wonka:

"It's all about money," Wilder told Contact Music. "It's just some people sitting around thinking, 'How can we make some more money?' Why else would you remake Willy Wonka? I don't see the point of going back and doing it all over again.

"I like Johnny Depp, and I appreciate that he has said on record that my shoes will be hard to fill. But I don't know how it will all turn out."

Oh, Yes? Wow, this is going to be great. I have no idea what to expect!

I love Burton. Everyone should also check out the weird version of Alice by Jan Svankmajer - it is awesome.

The book was dark, I believe, so this is going to be interesting.

Maybe it's a hybrid of the two books.
