Boomerang Media buys Postman Pat owner Entertainment Rights

Entertainment Rights, the company that holds the licence to kids shows like Basil Brush, He-Man and Postman Pat, has gone into administration, with the US and UK operations sold to Boomerang Media, saving 90 jobs.

Entertainment Rights share suspended and (on Wednesday) delisted from the stock market listings, with debts totaling £130m+. Boomerang Media, is backed by equity-firm GTCR who are joint founded by Eric Ellenbogen and John Engelman.
