    • "...also they're most frequently played by losers." haha. Also, I really laughed at the Battle Royale neck collar reference. This Halo Wars review is genuinely one of the funnier things I've seen in a while. I've played the game and concede with most of his rantings.....not a big fan at all.

I don't think RTS games are easy to bring to consoles. Sid Meier's Civilization was pretty fun for a bit, but it didn't go near as deep as some gamers would probably like to delve. Also, it had a rather comical appearance and tone to it, but all in all I was a fan.

For those who haven't tried it yet, I strongly suggest Tom Clancy's EndWar.....I am an uberfan of the game! It's not for everyone, but I really like the lack of control issue problems due to the voice commands, although it does have trouble with understanding you properly when you have a mean buzz going....huh, imagine that??? All in all, I say skip Halo Wars and definitely rent or borrow EndWar. If anything, the voice command system is pretty groundbreaking in terms of console use.

    • I was exactly the same with FPS games until I played Deus Ex on the Playstation 2.... that was the game that changed everything for me, and ended up being my favourite game of all time. :)

Now one of my fave FPS games is Call of Duty 4 on the Xbox 360... the online system is so addictive!

    • That's interesting you say that, I was a massive Counter:Strike lover and vowed I'd never play those FPS games on a console, but I'm a changed man, I can't get enough of them now. Maybe one day people will get used to RTS games on a console.

    • Yeah I keep trying to go back to the RTS genre with Dawn of War on the PC... and I can't get into them at all.

So on a console with a control system that doesn't work for the genre isn't going to work for me either. :/

    • I actually played this game a few weeks ago and really couldn't get into it, but that's because I normally despise these sort of games. You've gotta try it to hate it. :-D
