So complicated...I used to live up in Alaska and really felt what it was to live in a culture that lived and died by their relationship to fishing. I think it comes down to the general public understanding that the ocean is a resource that has its limits like everything else...and for government to create standards and harvesting. I keep thinking their is an amazing place for someone who as vision: who can create a new industry that supports the economic needs of communities that rely on fishing as their main source of income.

Very true, but some on the Heroes side are going beyond just toeing the line of the law. They are actively studying and reporting problems, since they are the first to see the effect. Many of the activists on overfishing are former fishermen. On the other hand, some are seeing the coming downturn in production and skirting the law or just ignoring it to get the maximum harvest while there are still fish left to be had.
