Soccer Aid is a sporting event to raise money for UNICEF, where small donations can make a big difference in buying food and medicine for millions of children.
The two teams England and the Rest of the World is made up of celebrities and famous football players (usually retired)
"This year's players included celebrities such as Mike Myers and Woody Harrelson, and football legends Zinedine Zidane and Ryan Giggs."-UNICEF
The Captains were singer Robbie Williams (England) and actor Michael Sheen (Rest of the World). The game was a close one (2-2 at the final whistle) with some heated moments like fouls between the celebrities. Though it looked clear the Rest of the World tactic was to pass the ball to Zinedine Zidane and Ryan Gigs.
However, the match hit high when the game went to penalties, in a move fans will hope doesn't repeat for England at the World Cup this year. Nearly every celebrity scored at the shoot outs (where the game had put in celebrity goal keepers) but it was Woody Harrelson who gave the Rest of the World the winning goal against keeper Jamie Theakston.
"The real winner of the night is, of course, UNICEF, who you helped raise over £2million during the match. Thank you to everyone who has donated their money - you have made Soccer Aid a spectacular event and helped vulnerable children around the world."-ITV
