Banksy wins acclaimed documentary award

Banksy's documentary Exit Through The Gift Shop has landed a top prize at this year's Grierson Awards.
The film was named most entertaining documentary at the annual awards, which took place at the BFI Southbank and will be aired exclusively on Current TV this weekend.
The notorious artist appeared disguised in a taped acceptance speech, during which he held up his award to show he'd added his own personal touch, by spray-painting the eyes and cheeks.
Banksy joked: "This is a very proud moment for me. I've always dreamt of winning a Grierson Award ever since I first heard about them two weeks ago."
He continued: "I do like to think that in this world of graffiti art - which is essentially mindless, messy and stupid - we finally gave it the kind of documentary it deserves.
"I've always been considered a bit of an anomaly in the graffiti community - probably because I use words like anomaly. So I'd like to dedicate this award to all the real graffiti writers out there, the ones risking life and limb every night who never get any kind of recognition. Well, other than having their name written in huge letters on every available surface all over town."
The awards, which took place last night at the BFI Southbank, commemorates the pioneering Scottish documentary maker John Grierson.
Current TV exclusively filmed the 2010 Grierson Awards.
Tune in at 9pm on November 6th and 7th to watch the entire evening's events.
