Beyonce’s new single “Girls (Who Run The World)” is finally online and it's a departure from her last album in a big way. It's not pop!
The track is a frenetic and multi-textured booty-shaking fist-pumping tune, and when you realise that she has been collaborating with Diplo and Switch you kind of get where this is gonna go i.e. on the dancefloor.
Reminds me of a more mainstream MIA with it's marching band beats and heavy beats. Have a listen and see what you make of it.
