      Lambert was a contestant from American Idol who tried being coy about his sexuality for some reason - though to see this video it should become immediately obvious & leave no doubt in anyone's mind that this boy is very gay. He did wear enough eyeliner throughout his run on American Idol to make Liza Minnelli choke, so most of us knew this already - I suppose this video is for those for whom the jury was still out.

      In my own humble opinion celebrities & others in the public spotlight who refuse to acknowledge their sexual orientation, like Adam Lambert, only go on to perpetuate the celluloid closet. This actually makes it more difficult for us to obtain the same constitutional rights as our straight counterparts, gives a tacit implication that there's something wrong with being gay, and makes it more difficult for our youth to accept themselves in the face of a hostile society.

      I don't care about anyones sexuality and nor do I want to know. I don't base my musical tastes on the shallowness of what a musician looks like nor do I want to know their sexuality. I believe the problem comes not that Lambert doesn't reveal his sexuality, it is the people who wish to project their world view onto someone who has the capacity to make the world a stage. When they fail to move in lock step, this type of sentiment is generated.
