Stephen Colbert made a similar joke on his much more famous show, the Colbert Report, on 9/11.
Uygur is now suing Colbert for $65 million, saying the joke was stolen. He cites the judge suing the dry cleaner over the missing pants as rationale, or maybe justification?, for choosing that amount.
There are a few problems with this. 1. The Klingon joke would probably be a pretty obvious one for any Trekkie. There's got to be at least one Star Trek fan working for Stephen Colbert. 2. In the case of the judge vs. the cleaner, the judge lost and had to pay legal fees etc. If Uygur isn't careful, he'll end up paying Colbert for the joke!

I agree with joe, this guy wasn't funny and now that someone delivered it BETTER and got laughs, he gets pissed, so now he claims "He stole my joke and he shouldn't be able to use my jokes" which is like saying "I'm not playing anymore, and I'm taking my ball with me!"
And because it's Colbert, he wants to sue for a mountain of cash. Pff, what a douche.
NEWS FLASH, Comedians have been borrowing material from other comedians, recycling other comedians material, and making allusions to other comedians material for centeries.

I think that colbert could really make a case for plausible deniability that he's never heard of this guy. I certainly havent... and the sad part is, Colbert actually rolled the part involving a cliyong saying HONOR--which this guy--I forgot his name, failed to set up properly...

How can you steal a joke from someone who isn't funny?
I'd rather the Colbert Report didn't acknowledge this loudmouth.
