Last night saw a host of the UK's finest comedians and presenters descend on London's Television Centre for the 2007 British Comedy Awards, hosted by the one and only Jonathon Ross. The night was, as expected, full of unsurprising choices.

ITV have been scrambling to secure broadcasting rights and have even paid a £700,000 blocking fee in an attempt to fend off the competition.
