Finding A King...

Finding A King... is a student documentary film about searching for love in the modern age. With lots of new options for finding a mate, one woman, Sarah Burlingham, steps outside of her normal routine to put herself into some new situations. She is not alone in this quest, as her friend and fellow student, Jonathan Steinberg, pushes her into interactions outside of her comfort zone. Both filmmakers are students at Brooks Institute of Photography in Ventura, Calif.

    • Great concept and execution. I wish it had a third part to it like friends that set set there friends up on blind dates but yeah it was good. The music work really well with it too.

    • Nice piece, and the topic was ingenious. I also enjoyed the characters you introduced during speed dating, it helped me to get a clearer underdstanding as to why you did or didn't like them. Also, the information you provided us with about Match.com was neat. It showed you did a little homework before just checking out the site. There were some parts of the piece that moved a little slow. This could have easily been improved by posssibly giving more visuals while your voice-overs were going on. Too bad you didn't find a king, however I thought it was an interesting way to reel your viewers in!
