"Kickin it Gravel Style"

citizenkate
Hi America, it's me Citizen Kate,

Dateline: Des Moines

I learned how hard it is to be an outsider trying to cover inside politics, especially when you run into the control nuts at NPR. I never ever had an experience like the one I had with cool outsider candidate Senator MIke Gravel.

I'm on a quest to find out about America's next great leader. I always say if you don't know, don't vote. So I've been interviewing the presidential candidates. Do I know anything about politics? No. Am I a reporter? Not really. Has that ever stopped me? Heck no! I'm "the people" and we deserve a voice.

Note to self: politics is a tough nut to crack!

Peace and Hugs

    • And Kucinich is gone as well. The race is tighter than it seems. Richardson rose from under one percent to over ten in many states, Edwards, Clinton, and Obamma occupy rarrified air that was beleived to be reserved for one frontrunner alone. That means that in the traditional political terms there is no longer a front runner for this race. This makes me quite sad. He shouldn't be penniless at the end of the day for his efforts. Glad to see both him and Ellsberg on Current in some capacity. Have a happy new year citezenkate.

    • Make that the credentialed people covering Gravel! She said we were "kicked out" of the green room, we found out later that everyone but the candidates themselves has to leave during a secret service sweep, which was for Clinton and Obama. We were told we could film Senator Gravel and then they "kicked us out". We had secret service clearance. We had staff credentials. But we were with Senator Gravel. Hmm.
