You can stop Evil Bag Island!

GreenScreenCinema
Did you know that disposable plastic shopping bags float out in the Pacific Ocean, where the currents bring them together to form a floating land mass? This island, this Evil Bag Island, must be stopped! These kids try to do their part by reusing shopping bags when they visit their local Whole Foods Supermarket (the first chain to discontinue the use of disposable shopping bags). If only kids ruled the world, then we'd all reuse our shopping bags. This short film won 2nd place at the 2008 Greenlight Film Festival. Visit GreenScreenCinema.com to learn more about the filmmaker.

    • I like the video. Went and did a quick search and came across this bit of info.

"In reality, the rogue bag would float into a sewer, follow the storm drain to the ocean, then make its way to the so-called Great Pacific Garbage Patch - a heap of debris floating in the Pacific that's twice the size of Texas, according to marine biologists."

    • Cute. Very cute! Anthing to get this point across! I will never use those things again after I saw on PBS what the ocean actually looks like..So extremely sad. It was like a plastic soup affecting all of us...we must be proactive in everything we do in our everyday lives!!
