Stephen Colbert on White Male Oppression - Esquire

"Who knows? With John McCain as our ghostly white beacon to guide us, we may finally re-reach that mountaintop, walk into one of the two Starbucks up there, order a half-caf (maybe an almond croissant), and proudly proclaim,

“Free at last, free-er at last, thank God Almighty, we are free-est at last!”"

While Colbert is obviously being satirical, there are many who claim white male oppression.
Is the white man being victimized?

    • Colbert's tv character is a close-minded, self-centered, greedy, sexist and racist Right-wing advocate to remind us of what we've been dealing with in executive power for far too long.
He's, "smarter than the average Bert", to be sure, and I respect the Hell out of him.

    • People of all shapes, sizes, colors, creeds, etc... have been victimized throughout history and, sadly, will continue to be victimized.

    • This is COMEDY! Not POLITICS. Anybody who sees this as serious just wants to argue with somebody. Stephen is the "ultimate smart ass of all time". Hes trying to be funny. The more opened minded that you are, the more you understand his mentality. He is a progressive that uses hyporcricy to make points, like it or loathe it.

    • Well in a general sense I would say no but at an individual level, without a doubt there are many white males that get the bench, so to speak. What I find astonishing is the prevalence of the so called hip-hop culture. These hyper-masculine and hyper-sexual males popularizing violence/crime through the media which is then regurgitated by the social whore suburbanites. "Yo Yo, word to your trust fund."
