Forthcoming film from author of Fight Club!

It's better to be remembered than liked ... or so says Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk. 'Choke' is the forthcoming film from said writer and it is definitely memorable among other adjectives ... I don't know what it says about me, but I loved the book version and can not wait to see how it adapts to the screen.

Check it out.

    • In my head I say it Pal-ah-noik.

I'm so looking forward to this film. I head that Survivir got shelved because of 9/11...

    • The book is great, and i love his writing but i honestly can't imagine how Choke could POSSIBLY translate well into film. I'm worried the movie could be bad and ruin everything.

      We'll see i guess.

oh, and can anybody phonetically spell out how you say Palahniuk?

      Pah-lah noo ick?
      Pay-lah-ni-uhk
      ni-ook?

      :(

    • The story is great, so it should make a cool movie...but you are correct...it probably will not be the phenom that was Fight Club.

    • Chuck Palahniuk is an amazing author. Sam Rockwell is an amazing actor. But there's only one problem......one big problem.....David Fincher isn't directing. Looks funny though, but don't expect it to be the next great film of our generation, like fight club was...

    • Where Is My Mind? - Pixies, closing Fight Club, may have been the best choice of music to close a film. ever.

Gosh, we should just start a Chuck Palahniuk Fan Club forum.

    • Fantastic!
Very looking forward to this. Chuck's disgusting and dark humour always strikes me as so filmic - even reading the book Fight Club felt like watching the film. I hope this is going to be as faithful an adaptation.

    • i have never read any Chuck Palahniuk.
But i didn't like the movie of Fight Club.

I've been told i'll like his stuff though because I really enjoyed American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis.
      Any thoughts!?

      Hey bentrafficUK...

If you like smart/quick witted writing, chuck's books are a must. They're very well written and the characters are very creatively/fully fleshed out. Plus, you can read his books in two sittings.

His stories are created very bold and decisive. Possibly not for everyone.

What did you NOT like about Fight Club? Just out of curiosity...

I'm biased, so any objectivity on the film would be cool...I'm a chuck slappy, so objectivity is totally lost on me.

    • Only The Chuck can manufacture such sublime characters as Marla; the most substantial character to come out of shit-house-Hollywood and the hottest dame since Audrey Hepburn.
