Here is part of the article:
"Quite frankly, it's a big mistake to let her go on," Chevy told Access Hollywood at the Give Food a Chance benefit in New York. "What was brilliant about ['SNL' chief] Lorne [Michaels] was that he had nothing written for Sarah and that apparently she cannot improvise herself out of a paper bag!...
"On 'Weekend Update,' that was her big chance," he said. "Nothing."
In my opinion:
Finally, someone who agrees with me about Sarah Palin on SNL.

Having watched the SNL episode with the real Palin I'm mystified as to how it helps the Palin/McCain ticket. The SNL crew mocked her in front of her face. It doesn't make sense unless Palin already knows she's lost and that the next step is a talk show.
Don't be surprised to find Palin hosting an Evangelical Christian TV show when this election cycle finally comes to a close. As a TV show host I believe Palin would be qualified - and the added benefit is I can turn her off at any time and get on with my life.

Yes, but seeing Alec Baldwin rip into her was quite entertaining. I thought Sarah would come back with something but she was just lame. And Amy Poehler showed she has more talent in her little finger than the entire McCain / Palin ticket.
Baldwin: "Lorne, I need to talk to you. You can't let Tina go out there with that woman. She goes against everything we stand for. I mean, good Lord, Lorne, they call her... what's that name they call her? Cari... Cari... What do they call her again, Tina?"
Sarah Palin: "That'd be Caribou Barbie."
Baldwin: "Caribou Barbie. Thank you, Tina. I mean, this is the most important election in our nation's history. And you want her -- our Tina -- to go out there and stand there with that horrible woman. What do you have to say for yourself?"
Lorne Michaels: "Alec, this is Governor Palin."
Followed by the eat shit response from Alec, "you look hotter in person". Ouch.

Jammer... You don't know everything. Give it up. You are literally fighting me on something that I have professional background on and you... LITERALLY... looked up online. You are also putting words in my mouth. I NEVER SAID they always improv. But it is a huge part of the show. It is a big part of a lot of productions. No one goes and reads everything straight off of a script. Not 100% of the time.
I'm sorry, its just not how it works. Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
NOW you are ALSO telling me that my OPINION is wrong. The skit would have been just as good with or without her. That is my opinion. I have already ADMITTED THAT the reasons for the ratings were because people tuned in to see what she would do... the otucome in my opinion would have been just as funny without her on it.
AND SNL isn't hilarious because of the big names on it. SNL has been known to CREATE big names. People get their start on SNL.
You have to be the cockiest son of a bitch on here to literally come onto a board and tell someone... who works in a profession related to the industry... who has friends and family members in the industry... what does and doesn't happen in said industry.... when the ONLY experience YOU happen to have is 10 minutes of internet research.
You REALLY DO NOT KNOW what you are talking about. IF YOU found her funny that is one thing. BUT to come on here and to tell me you know more about my profession and my families profession when all you have is some INTERNET RESEARCH is laughable and obnoxious. I'm done. There is no arguing with a troll.

Right... so you looking online overrules the fact that we are discussing something that many of my family members do for a living and my line of work crosses into GOTCHA ;)
Like I said... you are right... I'll let everyone know our careers have been total farces! Thank HEAVENS for internet research!!!
Blast. I was really coutin on that paycheck too. Specially in these tough economic times.

Yeah. Because every single host of SNL has been an ACE at improve. That's why they have them on. It has nothing to do with their popular status.At.All.

No... people tuning in to see whether or not she would make a jackass of herself or not... and her actually making a difference are two different things....
and just because they write out skits doesn't mean they don't improvise. It is what makes the show great. BUT you're right, i'm wrong... i forgot you worked in Hollywood and know how things work...
Not me... OH wait....

They improvise as well. They don't ALL read off cards. ANd yes I know they remember their cards but part of what makes SNL such a hit is the fact that these comedians are so gifted at improv.
AND regardless.... the skits would have still been JUST AS funny with or without the real Palin. The prompters don't change that at all.

Yes it does. She's the reason they got the highest ratings. No one else.
And they have cue cards always. Improve doesn't happen as much as you think it does. Apparently you don't know how the show works.
They sit and they write skits. They wouldn't have to write if what you state was totally true.
It's a show.
It's not whose line is it anyway?.

The skit would have been hilarious with or without Palin. She wasn't needed for it. In fact... the part where Baldwin comes in and palin is standing there was the worst part of it all because its OBVIOUS they are all reading from a prompter. At first I thought he just didn't want to look at her. Then I realized... None of them were improvising. They all had to read off of something because she....SSIIIZZUUUCCKKKEEDDD

She showed she has a sense of humor.
More so than most people who just let the anger control them...especially people who read the HuffingtonFOXNEWS post.

I thought it was hilarious. But Palin added absolutely nothing to the skit. Just that feeling whenever you're able to make fun of your boss/teacher to their face and get away w/ it.
