When did you CHOOSE to be straight?

Jon Stewart asks fmr Gov. Mike Huckabee an excellent question. Of course Mike squirmed around the answer and actual meaning of the question. I'd have more respect for Gov. Huckabee or anyone else if they just flat out said they don't like gay people and don't want homosexuality to exist. The ridiculous arguments are getting pretty thin and harder and harder to listen to.

    • I think for many men of my generation that choice was chosen for us when our budding prepubescent eyes beheld a scantily-clad Princess Leia in a slave girl outfit complete with collar and chain on Jabba the Hut's Pleasure Barge in Return of the Jedi.

    • Bigot swings both ways. ( see what I did there?)
Good thing we got religion to love the sinner but hate the sin. Because evolution is a bitch!

    • Being gay or straight isn't a choice in my opinion. I didn't choose to be straight...I just am. I couldn't become gay because I am not attracted to the same sex. So doesn't that mean if someone was gay...it was probably because they just are?

    • I saw this and Jon was great. What a bunch of idiots these bigots are. Who in their right mind would choose to be gay knowing the way society treats them, knowing they may not ever have all the rights the rest of us enjoy? But the whole question comes down to sexual preference and what in how my neighbor does it effect me? that is the only question that is relevant in the gay/straight issue and since what done behind closed doors is private rights should be extended to all citizens.
