Reminds me of the Messerschmitt "Cabin Scooter" they used in the movie Brazil. There's many many more awesome tiny cars like it at the link.

My dream is coming closer to coming true: remember that show Family Matters with Urkel? Remember the car he drove? I want that so bad, and have for many years. It was made by BMW, too. Please BMW gods make it a main stream car!!

My diesel jetta is larger, safer, frankly it will out handle the thing on a track course, has comfort for 4, and gets 50MPG highway (40 city).
I'll pass.

Oh and the prices are outrageous. For the same price of their base model, you can buy a new Jetta or Charger. For their top model, you can buy a new Viper and install a big ass turbo in it.
Tango = fail.

Safe? Not safe when you get hit by a large SUV.. or better yet when you get pulverized by an 18-wheeler.

I like the idea but if these things are so small and so "revolutionary", then why are the costs still estimated between 18 grand and 108 grand? Im not going to spend that kind of money on a car.
Sorry folks, for those of you who dont know me, I do not own or drive a car. I have never owned a car and I have never gotten a drivers license. But I would consider getting a license to drive if there was a car out there which wasn't so goddamn stinking bad for the atmosphere, and didnt cost me a years wages or more.
Forget it! I do not think a car is worth that much, I don't care what they're making them from; the simple fact is everyone and their mother has gotten so used to driving everywhere they go, it seems too hard to walk one mile. I walk one mile to work everyday and one mile back home. That's at least two miles a day and if you think thats too much for any healthy person to handle, you are way too lazy!
Sure its nice to be able to drive when its raining and during the winter, but I am not rich and I cant afford the luxury.
Why dont you make a car that costs less than five grand. Then Id think about it.

Having fun with it, it'd be interesting to see what NASCAR could do with a bunch of these. Sponsors wouldn't bee too happy with smaller logos, though. It'd be almost like cart racing.

I love the ingenuity these engineers are showing, and I like that they're working hard on oil dependency, but give me a break. Freeway capable? This would probably be great for city commuting, but if you get it any sort of collision, you're dead.

Sorry, people don't want to drive these stupid little things.
It is easy to design a good-looking, good-driving car that doesn't burn gas.

"Sorry, people don't want to drive these stupid little things."
I'll bet those people are so thankful you're doing their thinking for them, 02. Do you tag along at the market to tell them what they want and don't want?
You could save the auto companies millions in research dollars. When they come up with a new concept, you could merely reply, "Sorry, people don't want (product to be named)."
By chance, do you happen to be in charge of polling at Fox News?

This is not practice, even if it runs on pure electricity. What if you need to take a passenger? What if you have kids? what if you go grocery shopping?
The problem with this, and bikes, is that you cannot live the American lifestyle with it. As one who carted my groceries home by hand for 3 years I really appreciate having a large trunk and grocery hooks, because I buy for a family of 3.
It's easy to say this is all i need if your in college and in your 20s. Get in a serious relationship. Have a kid. Get a job that requires you to travel by land. Your needs change quick and this car (1) won't have the resell and (2) won't last you though life.

Personally I'd just buy a motorcycle since this thing is going to be a total bitch to the wind, and wont be nearly as agile as a motorcycle or a regular car. Plus a Kawasaki Ninja 250R would probably be cheaper

My thoughts are with you, but this had advantages when the weather is bad. On the flip side it's going to take CAR insurance which may not make it very affordable as it'll be considered a death trap.

It makes the SMART car look like a limo but I like this thing. Even without highway capabilities, imagine how many city users might buy one, and how much fuel we could save.
