exactly. Just for the lesser of two evils and don't expect them to keep promises and then do your best to change what they do.

yes, these are the lighter things that he's faulting on. Let's cover the large things like not ending the war and continuing the same economic policy as Bush to extend this recession and make it worse.

"same economic policy as Bush "
I don't know. I've seen some of the suggested alterations and improvements to regulations and regulatory power. The subject matter is highly technical, mostly boring, and very dense (knowledge wise). But that aside, such changes (and proposed changes) may have profound impact.
I don't think it is fair to call it the same economic policy

tell me what has changed about the economic and foreign policy. He's increased the budget for war, not brought troops home, ended the war and brought home troops from the rest of the world (same as Bush) and he's continued to use stimuluses and unsound money (same as Bush) Both things that will contribute to the prolonging and worsening of our recession and make it worse than the Great Depression.

I must say that he does not have to spend any time trying to make Bush look bad, because Bush and his crew were not just bad they were evil, greedy, killers who should be in prison. If he wanted to make them look bad he would do his job and prosecute them for thier crimes as the Constitution of America demands and he is sworn to uphold. Time for Change we can live with, Yes we can? Well lets do it.

I voted for Obama, and I'm a bit upset that he hasn't released the torture photos and not gone after those involved. I am also upset that he hasn't done anything yet to stop gays from being tossed out of the military.
But I'll give him until 2012...
After all, the country gave Dubya 8 years, and he just made things worse, so I'll cut Obama some slack especially considering what he's faced coming in to office.

So much for people that thought Stewart wouldn't make as much fun of Obama or give him as hard a time as any other public figure.
I guess that shows they were wrong about The Daily Show being biased

Obama is doing a good job considering everything he has on his plate right now... People are just so quick to get on him about anything and everything. I do think he opened a can of worms though with the whole torture deal. He should stop trying to dig up the past trying to make the Bush administration look bad.

I must admit, I have never supported the 'move along' approach. I think accountability should be a requirement. I did not really vote for him to move along.
Just like George W. when he said, if someone in his administration participated in outing Valerie Plame, they would be held accountable. Karl Rove was a participant and he was not held accountable. President Obama said if people committed crimes, no one was above the law. If the Justice Department does not investigate possible crimes, there appears to be no laws to uphold. Nothing to see here, move along. Been there, done that!
If President Obama thinks the moderate Republicans will give him a break for not pursuing the Bush administration, I'm afraid he's sadly mistaken. They eat their own!

Too funny seeing people on this thread saying that Obama has betrayed their trust when they never had any trust in him to begin with. And of course it is difficult to imagine a less significant action upon which to level a charge of betrayal...he has already released all those photographs of torture by Americans. If we don't realize how WRONG the torture was, I am at something of a loss to understand how ANOTHER 20 or 30 photographs are going to make any difference. Finally, just because he is not releasing them to the general public does NOT mean that he would try to prevent them from being used in an appropriate LEGAL action (in fact, he would have to try to invoke Executive Privilege in order to prevent their disclosure in such circumstances. I would submit that this is something he would be extremely unlikely to do. The thing with gays in the military is thornier -- but I remember just how miserable certain elements of the military community made Clinton's life on this issue, and I am quite certain they are doing the same to Obama now.

you realize that stewart is a satirist right?
obama is doing a fairly decent job considering the shit storm he walked into and the fact that he can barely tie his shoes without fools on the right screaming he's a fascist/socialist/nazi. and the fact that the republicans have become nothing more than obstructionists doesn't help anything either.
you'll remember the matthew shephard bill. well remember the bullshit that was thrown up about that.

He lost mine when he got caught red-handed plagerizing a speech and the media blew it off as if it was nothing. That's when I knew the fix was in.

Your question is the right one. :)
The betrayal began long ago...in fact. However, this fact does not persuade me to think negatively of him. I ask for your introspection, reader.
