Afrin is a lot different than sinus rinse. Sinus rinse is just buffered isotonic solution, basically salt water. I think it works pretty good unless you have blocked sinuses and try to force the liquid through, ouch.

But seriously. Being addicted to nasal sprays such as Afrin is no joke. That shit is real!
Afrin nasal spray will turn your sinuses to cement if you use it for more than a few weeks straight.
In fact, does anyone know how to stop taking it with minimum pain, and has anyone ever been through it?
