Twitter Killed The Movie Stars

Trivia alert, the first video ever played on the now iconic M-TV was Video Killed the Radio Star, by the Buggles. It was a tribute to all the radio talent that just didn't have what it took to transition to video. In this case the medium isn't supplanting its predecessor it's simply commenting on it - instantaneously. In the old days a film had a chance to make it through the weekend before word got out about it. Text messaging narrowed the window a little but not as much as the Twitter Nation. Now everyone's a critic has a whole new meaning because every critic now has isn't access. A film can be panned worldwide before the credits roll.
