      microsoft has done this before with other sites.

      all the microsoft supported contests require you to use their crappy software. when you win you usually get crappy software from microsoft ontop of goodies from other companies

      this has happened on many other sites. when ever there is a microsoft sponsered contest, you are required to use their crappy software for the cotnest. and when you win you usually get their crappy software and some goodies from other companies
