According to Metro, 'The Proposal' actor, 32, was shocked when a colony of bees arrived at their home.
The actor told the newspaper: "I had a colony of 10,000 bees delivered to my doorstep from Samuel L Jackson.
"We definitely had a conversation about bees. I'm not involved in any bee movement; it was just idle chit-chat.
"We live in a very green household and we do as much as we can to leave as small a footprint as possible.
"Somewhere in the back of Sam's mind, he must have thought, 'The best gift I can give this guy is a swarm of bees'."

Considering that the couple lives in the LA area, this was a bad idea. It is speculated that bees are disappearing in densely populated areas because cell phone transmissions mess with their inner gps and the bees are unable to find their way home... I hope they don't fly too far from the colony.

I used to have quite a few venomous pets, I a bee stings for the basis of their danger level. Let us not forget even though we need and love our bees, they can possibly be fatal.

So they were on set together sometime, and Ryan Reynolds says to Samuel L Jackson: "Hey man, did you hear that the bees are dying out, and they can't figure out why? Something to do with cell phone signals? I don't know - it's a big deal, though!" And then when wedding gift time came around, Jackson, trying to be original, sends these people a beehive. Wow. Glad they didn't talk about the plight of the humpback whale...

at first glance this might seem like an evil, vindictive gift from Jackson; but, in reality it's probably the single greatest gift one can give to someone and our planet. (definitely more sustainable than a Bentley coup.)
