Thinking Outside the Box: The Mad Professors’ Tea Party

The clichéd phrase “thinking outside the box” looks even more pale when you watch Joseph Pelling’s 1 1/2 min. animated short film, which is bloody hilarious! Pelling’s “Outside the Box” is about two nutty English professor-types discussing the phrase “outside the box,” all the while trying to one-up each other. It’s an inspiration for people very short on brains but big on ideas. The big ever-expanding ideas of the two mad professors at their little tea party lead them from “the box” into ever-more uncharted fantastical territories. You'll love this!

Includes a number of colorful illustrations and the hilarious animated short film.

    • Hi ThoughtNu,

Regarding your first point, I would suggest that the abuse of fantasy, or perhaps the flight into fantasy shown in this animated short film, doesn't lead to the creation of knowledge. Rather, it's a form of the avoidance of "reality" and of the kinds of knowledge that might be based in a sense of reality.

      Thanks for your comments,

      Best wishes to you.

    • Thanks for the smile.

Imagination is the foundation for creating knowledge and fantasy.

If I might suggest , should you wish to avoid the 'wet nose' stigma of insanity...stay away from doctors with something to prove and shortsighted gynecologists.
