niceminnesota
From Aesops Fables we learn of the Ant and the Grasshopper. The diligent and shrewd at is hard at work, making money for his retirement, while the grasshopper plays in the fields; oblivious to the coming winter.

When Winter comes the Ant is ready to lecture the Grasshopper on the merits of hardwork and reaping what you sow, when his investment advisor the Dung Beetle arrives. It turns out the Dung Beetle has lost all of the Ants money on bad investments in a rough economy. That said, the Dung Beetle Boasts of receiving a massive bonus, and his whole bank was bailed out for their bad business decisions. To top it off the Dung Beetle forcloses on tha ants house and rolls away.

The moral: In a bad economy everyone is screwed, except the Dung Beetles.

    • Sounds like what happened to most of the people who worked hard for years to put money away for retirement and the government rewarded the financial institutes for failure with the workers income taxes and the financial institutes turned around and f**ked the investors, businesses and home buyers using their services.
The cartoon was great but needs more impact to give the true devastation this BS has caused to so many who worked hard for decades to be screwed by the greedy financial institutes and the government looking for power within those institutions.
