Peace Junkie TV: BURMA

Aung San Suu Kyi was sentenced to 18 months extended house arrest after crazy mormon John Yettaw decided to visit her at her home. The uninvited intrusions just happened to break the terms of her detainment thus negating her from contesting the Burmese 2010 elections.

Hmmm....yeah, you could see this coming.

At least this lets us shoot the shit about Burma and keep the issue alive....

      I'll have to agree that John's a nut case. Travel 1/2 way around the world on a mission from God? Naaa I can't buy that. The Lord would have at least furnished the flippers.

      But even though the guy is a nut, he's an American nut. I didn't want to see him in a Burmese prison. Most likely would have killed him. Were he a resident of Burma that's probably what they would have done to him, and never mind the trial. But I'm glad he's back and grateful to Sen. Webb for arranging it. He'll be more comfortable here; we have lots of nuts to keep him company.

      thanks cabinet tags - totally with you on Yettaw not rotting in a Burmese prison. Sen. Webb done good - but isn't there some controversy over in the states with all you guys 'talking' to the enemy now. We all think its great what with Bill and Jim going out on a limb for yanks abroad.
