    • I probably would've bought a shot for Withnail... but then again by the time the alcohol hit the glass, it'd probably have been absorbed into his bloodstream via osmosis or something.

    • This is my concern with Cage. Acting is generally viewed as a craft people get better at with time, but he appears to want to prove the opposite with all these latest blockbusters he’s appearing in. To its everlasting credit, Leaving Las Vegas and director Figgis completely refused to conform. I watched this film in Spain over 10 years ago, it’s bleak final scenes were hard to endure and impossible to shake. I couldn't take my eyes off these actors.

      I would buy 10 shots for this drunk and another 10 for myself to share to the moment.

    • I never knew that Richard E Grant was a teetotaller, in which case his drunk scenes are even better than I thought they were.

      Glad you included Nic Cage in Leaving Las Vegas - great film and best alcoholic I've seen in a movie.
