Satire-Challenged GOPers Back "Billionaires for Wealthcare"

unimatrix0
A new group called Billionaires For Wealthcare showed up to "support" a crowd of approximately 1,500 right-wingers who were protesting health care reform. What's amazing is that so many of these anti-Obama demonstrators had no idea they were being mocked. Some of them even joined in with the faux organization's chants. You really must watch this.

    • For those who love this video, read this letter to the Kansas school board. It is the same kind of humor but a different subject. Both have made me laugh until I cried.

    • This goes a long way in explaining why educated people from Europe are no longer immigrating here. The display of American ignorance is truly humiliating, When these individuals can not see that they are being clowned even when it takes place before their very eyes there is very little that can be said to insult their intelligence any further.

    • Priceless! Bill Maher recently (and correctly) said that Americans, by and large, are stupid. One of the characteristics of most conservatives in this country is that they're too stupid to realize when they're being mocked. I have several right-wing acquaintances (I won't call them "friends") who LOVE Stephen Colbert because they agree with everything he says AT FACE VALUE. When I pointed out that Colbert's show is satire, they just looked at me blankly.

    • What an exhausting thread! I start laughing...then feel badly for mocking...then start laughing again...feel like a snob...laughing...crap. Back to therapy...

Look, I live with people like this. Good people, who are willfully ignorant. It is ok to mock because people have to go out of their way to be as ignorant as many of those people are. Their ignorance is hurting people being denied care as we speak and for those people its as deep and personal an issue as anything in life can be because its the lives of their children, themselves, and their spouses. To anyone whose ever dealt with special needs families denied care or a family who had to deal with a family member kicked off the rolls after finding they have cancer than they don't mind a little mocking because its all just a cruel joke to them. They are being mocked by the protestors.

Well at least you realize the protestors were dumb. I'll agree on that end, and go one further. Dumb people shouldn't be railroading smart bills to keep them from passing.

    • I love these people.

During the presidential campaign there was a group calling themselves "Lobbyists for McCain". Their protesters dressed up like secret agents and held signs with saying such as (my favorite) "NO - YOU CAN'T".

Their website is still a lot of fun to go through: http://lobbyistsformccain.com/
