“Write” And Wrong

Writer’s want to get paid for their work, no?

And not have it be plagiarized, right? People think writers aren’t skilled. They think if THEY can write a sentence, then anyone can. WRONG. This piece is about writers, and why they are artists too. Our blogger talks about her work being stolen, not getting paid and even having people ask her to work for free! Well this piece is a dedication to all writers who have been shunned at the Academy Awards by actors who never thanked them (only the directors), ho have been underpaid for their labor, who have been cheated for their beautiful use of language and for those who think writing isn’t as equal an art form as painting or as difficult a craft as design or tech work.

      Hmmmm...

      "When a piece is so well-written that the writing appears to have been effortless...it wasn't" (effortless).

      In other words, great effort is usually required to produce writing of the highest quality. Please tell me that this is at least ONE of the meanings that occurred to you...

      I'm sure many times. The source I scanned the photo from was a book I bought that had the image in it....so yes, I did pay for that picture. He allowed it to be mass produced in a coffee book table...which I bought...and therefore scanned and used in this piece. Like a novel, once it is bought, you can take quotes from it, make photocopies of its pages.....but using your name y claim it is yours.....now THAT is stealing. But I appreciate your point and I'm glad we've cleared it up.
