Terrifying Sniper Prank on Japanese TV

celebrityg
A Japanese hidden camera show called 'Panic Face King' goes extreme on this poor guy, luring him into a fake meeting in which everyone is killed by a sniper except for him. He is definitely the panic face king.

    • Ooooookayyyyy. I'm going to go way out on a limb here and suggest that any Candid Camera Wannabe segment that requires a participant to spend more than 10 years in intensive psychotherapy before he can learn to "trust" again has probably crossed the line.

Seriously, this is out-of-bounds. Usually I find those wacky Japanese to be pretty interesting and entertaining. For example, my best friend during my sophomore and junior years in undergraduate school was from Okinawa, and he was an absolute HOOT. He was in a dual degree program in Economics and Mathematics, aced everything, and yet was Volunteer Number One whenever someone suggested a road trip or an afternoon at the beach (which, because of his strong accent, came out sounding like "bitch."

In fact, the day I met him, he had just returned to school from summer vacation after our freshman year, and someone asked him what he did all summer. Well, he MEANT to say that pretty much every day he "slept on the beach" that bordered the island of Okinawa. But it came out sounding like, "I slipped on the bitch" ... and then he laughed harder than anyone when it was explained to him what the accent was doing to his pronunciation. So I thought, "Oh yeah, we gotta add this guy to our group -- HOURS of entertainment..." He and I and four other guys (and NOT our girlfriends just in case anyone's parents are still bent out of shape about THAT aspect of our happy home...hey, we were all over 18...barely...) got together and rented this way cool old Victorian house about six blocks from the lake. Man...good times...

But I don't recall this kind of serial killing humor in his repertoire...in fact, I'm not sure I have ever met anyone more gentle than Myong...despite the fact that he spent three years in the South Korean Army (he was a Japanese citizen but Korean by ethnicity...which made for many, many interesting stories about the tortured relations and peculiar prejudices between THOSE two peoples...but that is a story for another day...

Sorry, but this was so far over the line into "mean" that I didn't see the "funny"...maybe I need to come back to it in a different mood or something. But one of the other things I just found out was that dog fighting is both legal and popular in Japan. So if Michael Vick is just "doggin' it" when he says he has reformed, there is a place he can go and do his thing with impunity...

      No joke cztheday,

Maybe we should go to Japan and pitch another idea for an extremely inappropriate game show. How about this one:

Let's tell eight year olds we're gonna ship them to Siberian foster care because their parents just died in a horrible car accident.

Sweet? I'm sure kids sobbing for hours on end (we'll be sure to let their misery soak in before we tell them the truth) will get us a few cheap laughs.

    • Omg, poor guy. This is a lot worse than the one where they tricked a kid into thinking he was the only one who could hear fish and then he was almost forced to eat them.
