I dont see it as lamig women in general, more along the lines of proving that women are not impervious to conflict as the extreme feminist dogma would like us to believe...... Ever hear the argument that if women ruled the world there would be no war?? This in itself seems to be ignoring history itself as Woman rulers were some of the most ruthless rulers. Some blame the destruction of the tributes to these women was based on sexism, but in reality the romans destroyed anything that was not roman, it had little to do with whether or not the leader was a male or a female........

Well, duh, there are men only companies, but the point is it doesn't wind up in WWIII like it can with a woman only crowd.

yeah, might have exaggerated a bit, I gues, lol, I used to travel the country doing special effects at top strip clubs. Those dressing rooms can seem like WWIII sometimes.

This article is not proof that the company failed because it was all female. To jump to that conclusion is specious at best, and misogynist at worst.

luckily i don't conflict with women at work because (A) most people i work with speak spanish so i can't understand what they're chatting about (B) i mostly keep to myself. i keep away from any drama by focusing on my job instead of asking for translations over whatever it is people talk about (which may or may not be gossip). who knows if anyone's said anything about me, 'cause i've never heard anything, and my boss knows better (as in, he knows my job is my number one focus and priority... i don't even take personal phone calls unless it's family).

The article points at the source of the failure itself: selfishness and insecurity. No one can argue that those are gender-specific traits. I agree with CuteBruiser completely. The slant of the article is ridiculous.

OMG....soooo funny. That's why there are very few female managers of strip clubs. The ladies dressing room is the most dangerous part of the club.

Actually, this is untrue. Most managers of brothels and strip clubs are women, exactly because they are very...er...strict and professional.

kitteneater, I opened a company promoting strippers in 1991. Then, I went and trained with Michael J. Peters the owner of Thee Dollhouses. After that I djayed around the country at clubs up until ten years ago when I joined Pure Talent Agency, the largest and number one feature booking agency in the world. I then, for five years, traveled to a new club in a new place every week. During that time I met only two club owner/managers that were female. Jimmy Ellis and Michael J. Peter teach in their courses that this is for good reason. Women owners/managers eventually have conflicts with some of the girls, especially the most attractive ones and go on firing sprees. As far as brothels, there hardly are any in the U.S. and the two outside of Vegas are now owned by males. Escort agencies typically are owned by women but they also get in fights with their girls and wind up doing some of the jobs themselves. That is the truth about the stripping world from the top expert in the industry, myself.

Sounds like the gynecompany was bad company and needed more gynecoorporation. In all fairness, it may have had a lot to do with the personality types involved in the product line they made,...or sold,....or traded as a commodity,....or whatever the hell it is they made or sold,...etc. (Revlon will do that to you).

They deserved failure, IMO. They tried to segregate themselves from men possibly thinking they were too special to work with them - what else was going to happen?
And anyway, what were they thinking? Less politics? Less harassment? What? What, other than sexism, were they going for here?
If a man even suggested the idea of a women's only company, he'd be in trouble for it, forget about creating a men's only company.

This time men can not be blamed. Maybe women will understand that only men are able to put up with women and their faults. After all women are not superior beings.

CuteBruiser, How can "Patriarchy" be blamed for women not getting along with one another?

Ever hear of a thing called "conditioning"? People are trained by culture (which is a nice way to say the Patriarchy) to behave in a certain way. The rivalry often observed between females is one of those behaviours that is taught through conditioning.

MotherForTruth:
Actually, the slant of this article is proof that the Patriarchy is alive and well. Lots of businesses go "up in flames" with equal amounts of, sometimes more, drama -- but the article acts as if the business failed simply because the employees were all female. Clearly, their simple lady brains could not think about anything but bickering and hand bags! Oh, and crying. Ladies are ALWAYS crying, am I right? The article really didn't need to take that tone at all. Heck, there didn't need to be an article in the first place. This kind of thing happens EVERY day, regardless of the sex of the employees.
