In this article the blogger lists some pretty scary moments in children's film. I must admit that seeing some of these when I was a kid probably did stunt my growth a bit. I don't care what anyone says, "Willy Wonka" is a damn scary movie for a kid. Gene Wilder totally gave me the creeps.
Now I'm not the hugest fan of Disney, but I gotta give it up to them when they get something right. Donald Duck has got to be the best animated psychopath ever created. Check out this scene where the little guy goes completely off his nut. In this gentle retelling of the children's classic Jack and the Beanstalk our three starving heroes share a meager meal then "Out of nowhere, right at 1:55, somebody starts playing a Cannibal Corpse record in Donald's mind and he has an all-out Christian Bale meltdown at the dinner table."
