    • Robidog, it was awesome how you got all that into such a small paragraph. BTW, I totally agree with everything said. Keep following the truth, maybe some day we'll be set free.

    • I thought this 'trick' ummm, science was supposed to drag on
for at least another few decades. Well, blow me! Who would have thought that this anthropgenic-because humanity is evil-global warming disaster would come apart like that?

But now the cat is out of the bag. And that furry beast is shredding the myths quicker than
the myth-makers can put them back together again. Another 'settled science' goes in the dustbin of history.

The trouble is big business is in on it and now they wont let go. Just watch.

The global warming crowd worships the same idols as the left wing anti-capitalism, anti-American crowds. They want socialist, U.N. dominated governments, and global warming is just the kind of bogus crisis they need to impose their agenda.

Climate Change exists it is a NATURAL phenomenon driven mainly by Sun spot activities. There is not ONE scientific paper which PROVES that the MINISCULE amounts of CO2 in the air emitted by MAN have any noticeable effect on climate whatsoever. The earth has been COOLING for the past 12 years while man's CO2 emissions have continued to RISE. The NATURAL state of the planet over thousands of years is FAR warmer than it is now. CO2 rises ALWAYS follow Global Warming they NEVER precede it ask a GEOLOGIST not a CLIMATOLOGIST who cant even tell you if it will rain tomorrow. CO2 is not a pollutant... it is a VITAL part of the cycle of life... it feeds plants plants feeds humans and animals..... MORE CO2 more plants more food better for life, LESS CO2 less plants man and animals starve. So apart from being TOTALLY wrong about AGW, Green NAZI's are also anti LIFE.

so what chemicals would you classify as a pollutant?

Whether or not we blame ourselves for the climate change, would you not agree that burning fuel is a form of pollution?

Your argument of CO2 being natural and vital for plant life is very simple to break apart. You know that Hydrogen is vital compound for all life, yes? Two Hrydrogen molecules and one Oxygen, what do you get? H20- Water. The world clearly has various means of producing, synthesizing, and consuming Hydrogen. Well if we humans found a way to produce more Hydrogen then what nature needed in its system, the results would not yield much benefits. Of course we would have to produce tons of Hydrogen if we wanted this planet to start resembling Jupiter.

We should not have to squabble about whether or not the temperature change is our fault. Can you not agree that we are wasting our resources? What the discussion ought to be is how to take responsibility for how we use the resources of this planet, effect each ecosystems, the risks of chemical engineering and biological modification. People need to have a spine, realize the importance of changing our ways, and start making some sacrifices. It is out of stubborn need for convenience that developed nations are still committed to practices that are not sustainability. That is the key word here in this discussion. "SUSTAINABILITY". It is not sustainable to keep burning fossil fuels and not expect damage to be done. It is moronic.

    • robidog:

Fossil fuels are indeed a finite resource as are the rainforests around the world. Add to that the expanding world population and it seems reasonable to conclude that a speedy development of alternative energies is the least we owe our children, AGW or not.
I can even agree that it makes sense to reduce waste, reduce oil and gas consumption, explore alternatives, but let's do it on a sensible market based timescale. the idea of torpedoing the world economy for this now-discredited AGW stuff is insane

    • JanforGore you are the one believing one person and his film. It seems to me that following 30000 scientists' opinions over one fat, gas-guzzling, electricity eating former politician with no science degree makes us the ones reading the science books, not your or the Gorey Guy.

    • Even the Captain of the ship has bosses, including the owners of the ship. So, yea, I still put Obama as the Captain because he is steering the policies for the Banksters.

    • Jubal, Al Gore knows he's wrong. Most of what you notice and blame on weather and climate change is being done by HAARP up in Alaska. The earthquakes in Indonesia, China, Katrina and more, all done by HAARP.

    • Much of the global warming is caused by the hot air and gas from Fox News. Rush Limbaugh, Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin and company. Of course they don't beleive in global warming its not in the Bible.

    • "If you study all the papers of the inter-governmental panel on climate change, if you study everything that scientist have ever done, it all boils down to a claim that carbon dioxide, CO2 in the atmosphere, put there by the burning of our fossil fuels is going to turn the climate of Earth into an oven and we're all going to bake and die. Well that's shear nonsense. We have been burning fossil fuels for a hundred years. what have we done so far? We may have raised the temperature by one-tenth of one degree maybe. CO2 is a natural compound in the atmosphere, it's not a pollutant, plants have to have it grow. Every time I breath out, phew, phew, I create it. It is no big deal, and it's certainly not going to end the world."

Actually, I am a scientist. I am not a weatherman. I am not a science fiction writer. I am not a politician. I could not possibly describe how painful it is to hear this nonsense. I am tired of giving people the molecular theory on greenhouse gases. I am tired of explaining how theory has to be scientific experiment... that science has to be repeatable so that it can be counted on. I am tired of explaining how greenhouse gas theory is molecular phenomena just like gravity, hydrogen bonding, and conduction of heat in metals. I am tired of describing how the shape of carbon dioxide, which can be predicted from inorganic theory, always leads to a certain type of bond which reflects heat energy and could increase atmospheric heat retention. I am tired of repeating that we have known about the effects of carbon dioxide since the 1890's and that scientists can calculate the temperature of the surface of any planet based on the greenhouse gas content and the distance from the sun. In the 70's when the global warming theory first came into the media it was said, we are not sure if this will laboratory affirmation will prove to be the same in the real world. We will have to see if the planet gets warmer. In the 80's the planet got warmer. We need more time. In the 90's the planet became still warmer. In the 00's still warmer...

I see zero substance in this guy's argument. He says we may have raised temperatures by one-tenth of a degree. The figures I see are closer to a half a degree. The rest is politics. I don't believe politicians. I think Al Gore was mistaken because he did not ascribe solar activity their appropriate role in climate. He made his correlation when solar activity was low. His results underestimate how hot it will be when solar activity returns to normal in 2012. But don't believe me. I'm not a weatherman, or a science fiction writer, or a politician. I am just a scientist. Can I please have my money back from my degree?

Mister Gore is the tobbaco heir counter part to the insane Sarah Winchester. "It's guilt done made me do it"
But now he's got all his friends and himself in debt with this ruse he must continue PUSHING it to get his investment back. Hey, I got some prime land in Florida........

    • Wow, this was quite interesting. I kept wondering, is this anti propaganda or anti anti propaganda, or truth. Everything is so chaotic with politics, terrorism, economics, religion people are saying and doing just about anything but tell the truth or deal honestly with their fellow man. I just don't know who to trust. I am not a scientist so I cannot "test" the theories and draw my own conclusions.

One thing I do recognize is without a doubt, the climate has changed. Playing semantics with "terminology" is a diversion. We still need to understand what is happening to our climate and know what to expect, so we can better plan for the future of our children and all future generations. We need to ask ourselves, do we want humanity to survive? Do we want that future world to be overrun with toxic waste?

Perhaps a court of law would be the best arena to determine who has the "weight of evidence" to be declared the "preeminent" theory.

I don't think you can truly trust anyone in a position of power any more. Its really a sad state of affairs.
Of course the climate is changing. Is it because of something we did? I dont know. Can we stop it? I doubt it. The climate has been changing since the beginning of time. I am sure it will continue to do so. What role we played in it I dont know. The worst of it is I dont trust any of them so how does one know for sure the REAL answer?

      All good questions ihatethemall.

I feel it is irrelevant whether or not we can blame ourselves for the climate change. But we sure need to take responsibility for the wasteful and careless ways we have handled the resources of this planet, the harm we have done to so many ecosystems, and the risks we are taking with chemical engineering and biological modification. The majority of what developed nations are stilted up on no-sustainable practices. Sustainability is the key word here.

Can we keep doing things the way we do now? Well of course not.

How much longer do you want keep up these non-sustainable ways? The more time we take thinking about, the more resources go to waste, including recycled materials. There are no materials that keep value after being recycled, so eventually it all goes to the landfill.

So the following question would have to be, how much more are we willing to waste?

Those landfills are not going anywhere. Someone in the future will have to deal with the problems we have produced out for our own convenience. That leads to the inconvenient truth that developed nations are going to have to sacrifice many of the wasteful luxuries for the sake of those in the future that will have to find a use for what we produce.

If you have an interest in thinking ahead, do research on "Sustainability".
