A couple of weeks ago New York rap artist "Bruse Wane" Allegedly received a head nod from Jay-Z in an interview with Canadian megasite much music.com. Since then Jay-Z has become embroiled with a battle of sorts with rappers Beanie Sigel and 50 Cent. Well according to Wane Enterprises "Bruse Wane" has managed to attract the attention of a much more menacing foe. Uncle Sam. How many views on you-tube does it take to get the attention of the feds; in Bruse's case 39,000 plus apparently. That and a controversial video for the song "Dun Da Lye" Bruse states he initially received a message from youtube inquiring about certain images that appeared in the video.

Far from a Jay-Z Clone. "Wane" Delivers a mixture of streetwise and thought provoking lyrics instead of primarily focusing on glitz and material access. "Bruse" alleges that a few days later he was payed a visit by two men claiming they were with homeland security. "They asked me some general questions, but seem to put serious emphasis on my religious beliefs and political stance. I was like wow WTF. I was on radar; I noticed some strange noise's on my cell phone before this but thought nothing of it. Now I watch everything I say on the horn.

I proceeded to ask "Bruse" the following. Why put this out there, do you think this is wise, why not lay low. With a stern face he replied "I thought about falling back and being easy, but I aint do nothing wrong. This is a freedom of speech issue that needs to be recognized." "Why lay low every-time something like this goes unnoticed it makes it that much easier for them to continue to do sh#% like this." The Song "Dun Da Lye" is off Bruse's current release "The Dark Knight Ep - Return To Hip-Hops Golden Era". The Video For "Dun Da Lye" is set and themed in the mid 90's regarded as part of Hip-hop's now revered " Golden Era"; With Bruse utilizing a Golden era type flow.
